“ Accidentally found this lovely cafe on Friday afternoon. Lovely relaxed l, clean outside area with lovely little plants decorating the area. The Jade plants beautifully designed into heart shape caught our eyes so we asked the lovely owner where she got them from. Her reply surprised us because they were all her handiwork. It was a busy afternoon school time so we waited a while for 2 coffees. We admired the appearance of the meals being served while we waited. When the coffees finally arrived the lovely owner was apologetic but also surprised us with some complimentary cakes. We complimented her on the plants and especially the Jade. We cheekily asked if we could get a cutting and were then generously given a free potted plant to take home. The coffees were great and we will definitely be back to try the home made dumplings and other menu offerings. The owner and I apologise for not knowing her name , was friendly and delightful to have a chat with. Definitely going back again ”

“ Kiwa is a quiet refuge from the busyness of its location. We were looking for a chill quiet lunch and we had the most amazing time here. Their space is simple and comforting, which makes you feel right at home. No fighting for seats here and hurried eating as they have ample room. We had a filling bowl of bulgogi bibimbap which came with a delicious cup of miso soup perfect for winter. Sometimes bibimbap can be too spicy so I appreciate the fact that the sauce is served on the side so you can control your portion. The fried rice paired perfectly with their homemade dumplings - juicy, flavourful, bouncy, cooked to perfection. The dumplings are amazing on their own but if I can recommend, it would be better paired with a slightly more put together sauce (maybe vinegar+ ginger+ soysauce+ cilantro+ sesame seeds?). I love that their scones had chocolate chips! No raisins here please. They were light and crumbly. Their coffee is one of the highlights of our meal. I love a good einspanner and their long black kiwaspanner hit the spot. The cream is the right balance of sweet and creamy, while the coffee is bright, acidic, and fruity - honestly my favourite kind of coffee! So good!! Customer service is phenomenal. Great team and owners behind this spectacular local favourite. Will definitely come back for their coffee and to try their prawn katsu burger which is popular here as well. ”

“ The prawn burger was beyond my expectations. The patty was so thick, which contributed to its satisfying texture. I could tell a lot of effort went into making the food. The bibimbap also had a nice flavor, capturing the traditional taste of Korean cuisine. ”

“ The coffee here is hands down the best I’ve had in Brisbane – smooth, perfectly balanced, not too sour, not too bitter, just right. I’ve been searching for coffee like this for ages, and nothing else even comes close. We asked the staff about the beans they use, and not only did she share the brand, she generously gave us a couple of free coffee bags to take home. It genuinely made our day! Even if we bought the same beans directly from the supplier, I honestly don’t think we could recreate this standard at home. It’s not just the beans – it’s the barista’s skill and care that makes all the difference. To top it off, they gave us free muffins served with fresh whipped cream and it was absolutely delicious. For lunch, we tried the Korean gimbap, which was fresh, and the burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is cozy, peaceful, and you don’t have to stress about parking. We’re already planning to come back and try their homemade dumplings next time. This place is such a special find – Highly, highly recommend! ”

“ New to the area and finally checked out this cafe, it had already caught our eye online and it did not disappoint! Tucked up a driveway surrounded by leafy greenery with plenty of parking, we were warmly greeted with smiles and friendliness the moment we arrived, such a welcoming feel. The menu had a great and unique range and we ordered the prawn burger and the salmon bagel. The prawn burger was honestly like no other the bun was so soft, the patty was melt in your mouth juicy and filling, the lettuce crisp and fresh and the mustard sauce tied it all together perfectly. The chips on the side were also crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and seasoned just right. The salmon bagel was fresh, flavourful and a generous portion. Both coffees were smooth, well made and hit the spot. We sat outside in the sun and really enjoyed the relaxed, leafy vibe. Yet to try sitting indoors but definitely planning a return visit to explore more of the menu. Thanks for the warm service and delicious food ”
